Ramos R. Sidjabat has practiced law in Indonesia throughout the years and has been exposed to various commercial dispute settlements in civil law, criminal law, administrative law, restructuring and insolvency cases, including out-of-court settlements.

After being academically trained in Litigation and Dispute Resolution as a Master of Law from the George Washington University, Washington D.C., he is well versed in restructuring and insolvency industries as a member of Asosiasi Kurator dan Pengurus Indonesia (AKPI).


Ramos is recognized through his ability to lead the team for restructuring and insolvency cases through Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation proceedings as the Administrator Team, the Receiver Team, and debtor or creditors counsel in Commercial Court. Furthermore, his ability in litigation matters is well exposed with civil law, criminal law, administrative law, employment law, arbitrational and alternative dispute resolution matters.


During his years of practice, he has successfully handled and assisted clients in the following notable works:


  1. The Administrator Team of the most significant restructuring case in the airline industry through Suspension and Debt Payment Obligation in Commercial Court at Central Jakarta District Court worth IDR 142 trillion debt.
  2. Counsel to Indonesia state-owned company in Surabaya for termination of 150 employees through negotiation and out-of-court settlement, including preparation of the agreement and notice of employment.
  3. Counsel one of the large trading companies in resolving a dispute over share ownership worth IDR 4 trillion, including media relations, preparing and attending court proceedings, and settlements.
  4. Counsel an Indonesian coal mining company for a dispute over the issuance of a Certificate of Analysis by a surveyor company at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
  5. Counsel to one of the Indonesian conglomerates on a dispute over asset ownership claimed by Satuan Tugas Bantuan Likuiditas Bank Indonesia through administrative court proceedings with regards to asset property of eks Badan Penyehatan Perbankan Nasional (BPPN).
